Terri Mail is a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. She is married to Jeremy Mail and they have three children: Joe Bear, Tsalee Sue, and Teddie. They live near Malott, WA. She completed her Associate’s Degree at Gray’s Harbor in 2004, continuing on to Saint Martin’s University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education, with a Health and Fitness Minor. She completed her Master’s of Public Administration as part of the Tribal Governance cohort at the Evergreen State College in 2010.
Presently, Terri is working for the Washington State Healthcare Authority. She assists in achieving the HCA mission and vision by administering innovative programs and contracts that promote access to healthcare coverage for Medicaid eligible individuals. She has a wealth of experience with different agencies in different capacities to help her fulfill her duties with government agencies at the local, state, and federal level, as well as non-profit organizations, community partners and vendors.
She has worked for the last seven years interpreting government regulations/guidelines, tribal codes, by-laws, and policies in her work with the Colville Tribes, Quinault Tribe. This includes healthcare, community health, Tribal enterprises, and Tribal government. She has been a part-time instructor for Colville Tribal College.
Terri has served as a Human Resource Manager for a 638-contract clinic on the Colville Indian Reservation, serving the communities of Inchelium and Keller. These are tiny, rural communities, making sure they have the best staff possible to best meet the healthcare needs of not only those seeking medical care.
Her love of fastpitch softball has led her to be the head coach at North Beach School District, and Taholah School District. She has been a skills coach for many young athletes, as well as coaching her own daughters. She has been leading a healthy lifestyle for the last 20 years, demonstrating honesty, loyalty, and integrity in her professional career.
Terri is the first Native American to be elected to the Okanogan School Board. She is an avid fan of the Okanogan Bulldogs.
