"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."                                               "Do what you love to do and you’ll never have to work a day in your life."

I teach 6th Grade World Hist./Geography, 7th Grade Washington State Hist., 6th/7th Grade Coding and 6th/7th/8th World Current Events.

I love what I get to do every day! I grew up dreaming that one day I would be just like my Dad, a history teacher and athletic sports coach for almost 40 years. He retired from the same school where he started his career and I plan to do the same! Yes, we have some similarities, teaching history, coaching football and wrestling, but I chose to teach at the middle school level and I also coach soccer in the spring. I learned many life lessons from my Dad and just as many life lessons from my Mom, who worked in the elementary school for 30+ years. Both of my parents have had very positive influences on my teaching and coaching careers. I have put my own spin on teaching and coaching through my own personal observations, failures and successes. I am truly grateful to be a part of this awesome community, both academically and athletically, as a teacher, coach, role model, leader, colleague and friend. I look forward to the classroom and coaching every day when I wake up!
