Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Emily Zeigler

My name is Emily Zeigler. I earned my bachelors in Mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) in 2006 and Masters in Education, also from PLU, in 2007.

This is my 15th year teaching middle school, my first in the Okanogan School District (OKSD). I previously taught in three different schools (each in a different district). In those schools I taught 6th grade math and science, 7th grade math and science, 8th grade math and science, 6th grade Pre-Algebra, 7th grade Algebra, 8th grade Algebra, and 8th grade Geometry. I often get asked why I left my previous schools; I am a strong believer in both personal and professional growth and left to seek new opportunities to grow and become a better educator.  I planned on staying at my last school for the remainder of my career but often life has a way of changing even the best laid plans.  To keep a long story short, I am about to get married and I relocated to Okanogan to start a life with my future husband.

In my free time I enjoy being outdoors hiking, fishing, kayaking and camping with family and friends, going running or juijitsu with my fiance, taking walks with our three dogs or reading a good book in the sunshine in my hammock. I come from a large blended family which is spread across Washington and across the US.
