     On August 1, 2017 the voters of Okanogan School District approved a Safety and Security

    Capital Projects Levy.

    Over the past year, the district has been working with Moon Security to upgrade and install camera systems in the high school, middle school and Virginia Grainger. In addition, electronic lock systems were installed on all exterior doors in the district. With this safety upgrade comes procedural changes in accessing our school buildings.

    Virginia Grainger: the front door ofthe building will be locked beginning at 8:15a.m. and opening again at 2:50-3:20 p.m. Parents will have access to the building at any time, but will be required to use the new intercom system to be let in.

    Middle School: the front door of the building will be locked beginning at 8:10 a.m. and opening again at 2:57-3:30 p.m. Parents will have access to the building at any time, but will be required to use the new intercom system to be let in.

    High School: the front door of the building will be locked beginning at 8:10 a.m. and opening again at 2:57-3:30 p.m. Parents will have access to the building at any time, but will be required to use the new intercom system to be let in.

    Key points to remember:

    School entrances will not be open until 7:15a.m. If you are arriving before 7:15 know that there is no supervision, and doors will be locked.

    MS/HS Cafetorium doors will no longer be unlocked during school hours. New procedures will take effect Monday, February 4, 2019.

    Students safety is the priority with the completion of this project. While procedures are changing, it is in the best interest of our students.

    El 1 de agosto del 201 7, los votantes del Distrito Escolar de Okanogan aprobaron un Proyecto de Capital

    Levy de Seguridad y Protecci6n.

    Durante el afio pasado, el distrito ha estado trabajando con Moon Security para actualizar e instalar sistemas de camaras en la high school, middle school y Virginia Grainger. Ademas, se instalaron sistemas de cerradura electr6nica en todas las puertas exteriores del distrito. Con esta actualizaci6n de seguridad vienen los cambios de procedimiento en el acceso a los edificios de nuestras escuelas.

    Puntos clave para recordar:

    Las entradas de Ia escuela no estaran abiertas basta las 7:15a.m. Si llega antes de las 7:15, tenga en cuenta que no hay supervision y que las puertas estaran cerradas.

    Las puertas de Ia cafeteria MS I HS ya no se abriran durante el horario escolar. Los nuevos procedimientos entraran efecto ellunes 4 de febt·ero de 2019.
