Our first book is Stuck in Neutral by Terry Tureman. It is the story of a boy with Cerebral Palsy who cannot talk, move, walk, or even blink on his own. It is called "Locked in Syndrome. The brain is locked in the body. Tureman's own son has CP. the author has posed the thought that instead of being a vegatable, his son is actually a genius who remembers everything he has ever seen or heard. The son's dilema is that no one knows this. The other dilema is that his father feels so sorry for him he wants to kill him to stop his suffering.
