Hi, these are the students and staff at the Malott School. We
have some interesting things to tell you about us and our school's
activities. The list of activities include: Low Ropes Course, High Ropes Course,
Camp Progress, Bridge building, flower box sale and a lot of new technology !
|

|

|
This year every class went to the Low Ropes Course. At the Low Ropes Course we
did many things. We did the Mohawk Walk, the Tepee Shuffle, the Puma
Rescue, the Triangle Walk, the Trust Fall, the Flying Trapeze, the
Frisbee Throw, ''The Wall" and a few other challenges. All of
these activities provided us with challenges to help us improve at working
together and getting the most out of our group.

In the spring some of us will be going to
the high course and maybe learn some rock climbing. All these activities
will improve our skills at communicating and working as members of a
team. |

This year students are looking forward to going to Camp
Progress in the Spring. We will be going up in the mountains and camping
out for a week. We will be staying in cabins. There have been many sightings of
bears near Camp Progress. Almost every year, kids see bears at Camp. We will
learn from community members. They will teach us about a lot of things that go on in our
community and state. |

In math class students will attend
the math competition in Mosses Lake and we will listen to our friends from
the Washington State Department of Transportation. They tell us about
engineering as a career and they will help us in a bridge engineering
project. In science we will study the stars, light, sound, ecology magnetism
and electricity. Students will build electric motors. |

This year we have a lot of new technology.
Here are pictures of students working at building our web page. We have
been using cameras, scanners, palm pilots, the smart board, flex camera
and a lot of exciting software. |
