Allowing Families to Lead the Team!

A starting point:

Readiness to Learn (RTL) is an early intervention program that is designed to identify and assist students who have a pattern of truancy, absenteeism, or tardiness. Being family-based, it focuses on the need for families and children to feel connected to their school, on development of appropriate supportive parenting skills, and on early intervention for children who are disengaging from school. If needed, the case manager will help facilitate services such as housing, counseling, parenting classes, tutoring, or anything else that will stabilize the student.

Our goal is to create a commited continuing partnership among schools, families and communities that will provide opportunities for all young people to achieve at their highest learning potential; live in a safe, healthy, and civil environment; and grow into productive community members.

Readiness to Learn Mission:

Promote student success by facilitating the combined efforts of schools, families, and communities to address the needs of the whole child.
